There are thousands perhaps million of pet parents who own dogs, but for some reason, have negative remarks about keeping their dogs safe. They ignore products that are made especially for pet safety and for whatever reason, pay no attention and generally use the phrase, “I’m not going to put any money out on my dog like that, it is not necessary, they do just fine on their own without all of that stuff.” However, guess what, they spend money on everything else that pleases the pet parent and thinks nothing of it. The prices on safety products are not that expensive and well worth it, but if there is an accident that could have been avoided, imagine the cost out of their pocket taking them to the veterinarian treating injuries obtained from an accident.

Dog vehicle barriers placed between the front and back seats prevent the dog from jumping back and forth causing a disturbance between the pet parent and their dog. This bad habit of doing this usually causes loud commands of some sort trying to get the dog to behave, well whose fault is that. Certainly not the dogs, they depend on their pet parent and do not know any different in protecting themselves, they are having fun checking out all of the activities outside the vehicle, but the pet parent knows the difference. Check out the dog vehicle barriers that would fit into the type of vehicle you have, price them according to the need in protecting your dog and figure out what would be best for both of you, a barrier of some sort to keep them safe, opposed to dishing out bundles if they were hurt with the pet parents’ negligence. Be Happy!

Our pets are so important to all who are pet parents and perhaps sometime we go overboard in protecting them, but let us face it, they are just like children to us. We provide cute toys, clothes, special costumes for different occasions, and teach them to be obedient, why not provide a dog car seat that would protect them and help keep them safe and happy. Our furry friends love to go riding, but what about protecting them in your car if you usually take them along for rides to the grocery store, post office, or on long trips to visit Grandma and Grandpa. I have seen dog’s running back and forth in the back seat, and putting their head out the window, this is not a safe way to protect your dog, besides this uncontrollable dog could cause an accident, and you do hear about this happening quite frequently.

Personally, I would rather see a dog sitting in their dog car seat and taking in all the sights around them knowing they are safe, and if you have never seen this picture before, you are certainly in for a treat. Doggie’s that have their own dog car seat have a look of importance, and you can just see how content they are in riding along with their pet parent. Dog car seats are sometimes referred to as a dog booster seat, allowing more height for your dog to watch where they are going. There are many styles and colors to choose from that are affordable, well padded and convenient to handle and easy to wash, so be cognizant of your dog’s safety. Be Happy!

Dogs love to go with their pet parents anywhere they will take them, but safety measures are necessary if dogs have freedom in the vehicle without a dog vehicle barrier. Confining your pet is necessary in several ways by using a dog safety harness, dog car seats, dog kennels or crates, or a dog car barrier. The size of your dog depends on what type of dog barrier is required, and how obedient they are in riding in the vehicle. It also depends if your dog is riding in a car, a SUV, or a pickup truck.

Small (tiny) dogs would be safer in a dog car seat, rather than a pet safety harness, where medium to large dogs would be safer with a dog barrier. These barriers are metal and fit into different vehicles separating the pet parent and the dog from any distractions. The car barriers work well in one or two-door cars giving a larger dog more room to lie down. Different designs depend on where they will be riding , a car or a SUV, because of the larger space and prevents interference between the dog and the pet parent avoiding accidents. Be Happy!

Just how large is your dog? Small, medium or large is usually the size of all breeds, but the small (tiny) dogs have a big problem when going for a ride with their pet parents. How are they suppose to see what is going on around them while enjoying the ride? Safety is of utmost importance taking your dog for a ride. There are many ways that a pet parent can make sure, by purchasing a product to keep them in their place while riding.

Parents have seat belts and their small children ride in a car seat, so why not have a dog booster seat for your dog. Being small without confinement is dangerous, and it would not take much for an injury during sudden stops if the pet parent slams on the brakes, avoiding an accident. There are many varieties of dog car seats and booster seats, which are ideal for that tiny one. Would you believe there is a dog car seat on the market that contains the seat, suitcase, and even a bed? What a deal for traveling with your pet. Be Happy!

Petguardianangel and Petsafetyblog wish all a Happy Easter

I was just thinking the fun we had as children growing up and having Easter egg hunts on Easter Sunday. All the preparations ahead of time dying eggs, coloring them and creating delightful Easter baskets with goodies galore. Please keep in mind that dogs love chocolate, but do not give them any because it can be fatal. You do not want to experience a tragedy that could have been avoided. Give them one of their treats they love instead.

Just because we are not children anymore does not mean that this tradition should stop, and I am quite positive that it is still a celebration that will go on … Happy Easter , and Be Happy!

Safety, Safety! Keep reminding yourself that raising your dog without any safety precautions is not something you want to face when serious consequences occur. Pet parents know that their dog will live longer and have a happier life with a few considerations toward their health, safety, and well-being. All dogs love to go riding in a vehicle sharing moments of excitement, but keep in mind that your dog needs confinement while riding along with you. If not confined you can expect a friendly kiss, or lick on your ear, running back and forth from window to window, and just become overly excited because they are seeing different scenery and possibly dogs walking along with their pet parents. This is not a good idea allowing your dog to do these things, when they should be behaving themselves. If your dog is small, seat belts will contain them in the pet car seat, and medium and large dogs may wear a harness that also attaches to the seat belt. If you want to take your dog with you in a SUV or perhaps you have a station wagon, precautions keeping them confined must be your number one priority.

A dog car barrier is the answer in controlling your dog’s safety, and is affordable compared to an accident that could turn out to be expensive. A dog car barrier separates the driver and the dog to avoid distractions, which could lead to serious accidents, and prevents your dog from climbing over into the front seat. I cannot think of anything more dangerous than that. It may take a few tries getting your dog use to the car barrier, but once they know where there place is, you have got it made. The dog car barrier is great for taking your dog on vacations, and you will feel relieved knowing that you did not have to leave your dog behind and board them in a dog kennel. Seat belts and dog harnesses work well in the back seat keeping them from being thrown onto the floor if sudden stops are made. If your dog insists on going with you in your pickup put them in the cab of the truck. Never let your dog ride in the bed of your truck if it is not covered. This is dangerous and the pet parents will never forgive themselves if something happened that could have been avoided. Be Happy!

For the last week and a half, I have been working very hard to be able to offer additional items to my website. I feel that many of these items will be exciting in continuing the development in choices to additional products to increase pet safety items…There are so many products available that will help pet parents take better care of their pet than ever before. It seems as though products continue to increase toward pet safety. There are amazing and fun dog leashes, pet stairs that relieve the stress of our dogs trying to get up on their favorite chair, sofa, or bed. There are dog crates constructed with silver and gold wire (of course not real good and silver) and of different varities, some fold for storage convenience, and there will be bags to use in traveling, going to the park for a picnic, or camping. Various dog crate covers to help your dog have a cozy area for relaxation and is available in several different colors and sizes to match your home décor.

Can you image having a crazy name for a Dog Leash. What fun that would be. A dog collar that will alert vehicles with bold red or steady light inside durable red nylon sleeve; visible from up to one mile at night, in low-light and in no-light situations. Our illuminated pet collar is the most technologically advanced illuminated pet collar on the market. These innovative and durable products feature a quick-release buckle that snaps on or off in seconds. The top positioned D-ring is compatible with all standard leashes and can be used as either a primary or a secondary collar. Features include lightweight, weather resistant, black nylon webbing with two rows of reflective stitching, and a quick-release buckle that snaps on or off in seconds combined with adjustable sizing, it is safe and shock proof. It has been rated to last up to 200 hours on one standard watch battery, which is included. I am very excited about these new items for additional pet safety products. Keep tune!!! Be Happy!

If you do, what a wonderful experience it is in watching them grow, training them, keeping them groomed …. How safe is your dog riding in your vehicles? Do you protect them from wandering around in the back seat, or wherever you allow them to be? Do you let them hang their head out the window? These three questions are something that a pet parent should think about and take into consideration what to do in keeping them safe while riding with you. When traveling with your dog, visiting, shopping, or wherever you take them, a dog vehicle barrier is a necessity. The dangers of unrestrained pets can be fatal in case of an accident. It is the law in restraining your child in your vehicle, and seat belts are required, but there is not a law enforcing the protection of your dog. Perhaps there should be a law for this, but it is the pet parents’ responsible for their own pet’s safety.

Vehicle barriers for dogs are intended to protect them, and designed for proper installation, depending on the type of vehicle. Some are for separating the dog from getting between bucket seats, and some are for the back seat or the rear of the vehicle. Distraction while driving is dangerous, so consider this protection for your dog. Most barriers are affordable and can be removed easily when not in use. It may take awhile for your pet to become comfortable in being restrained, but it will not take long for them to get use to the barrier and car seat. Yes, there are car seats and harnesses as well that will protect your dog, large or small. Some dogs get very excited while riding in a car and want to give their driver a friendly lick. So please consider this product for you and your dog’s safety. Be Happy!

If your dog is suffering from arthritis, hip problems, moves around slowly, old age, or other diseases that make it uncomfortable for them to get up and down, there are ways for pet parents to help in making their dog as comfortable as possible in living the remaining days of their life, then the pet parent becomes a caretaker. Arthritis is an aggressive disease and when your dog is older, more attention needs to be given in finding ways to help relieve some of their pain. Your veterinarian can prescribe medication to make your dog more comfortable. He may suggest purchasing glucosamine supplements which is helpful, or perhaps some other medication. Increasing the height of their water and food bowls will help them from having to stoop down so far.

Taking care of your faithful friend whose love is absolutely unconditional, will always leave you with the feeling of love and pride in knowing that you are taking care of your dog. One of the greatest ways in helping them in being able to get in and out of your vehicle, is to provide a dog ramp to ease their pain in trying to jump up and down, and getting in and out. Our pet friends love to go for rides, and just being with their pet parents makes them happy doggies. If you allow your dog on your furniture and bed, then the ramp will provide easy access. Jumping up is very difficult for your dog without not having any pain. Dog ramps provide easy mobility and is light weight in handling for the pet parent. There may even be other ways that the ramp could be used; perhaps going up a few steps in entering the home would certainly help. Be Happy!
