If you are a pet parent that takes care of their dog and over protects them and loves them for what they are to you, and makes sure they are safe and healthy, will have a faithful friend and true companion. At one time or another some sort of illness, or even a disease may have hindered their ability to remain as they once were, but with medical attention, bounced back to being a healthy dog again. During the course of their lifetime, little incidents may have occurred that were treatable but would take a considerable amount of time to recuperate, but eventually all was back to normal. Then one day your dog was accidently hit or possibly run over by a vehicle, causing extensive damage to their body requiring surgery.

The vet informs the pet parent there is some neurological and vertebral damage where nothing that can be done, but the inevitable procedure that was once the only solution, can now be replaced using dog wheelchairs allowing them to continue living a long and full life, but with few exceptions. Dogs are resilient and will adapt with time in learning what they can still do, and what their limitations are preventing them from running, jumping and playing. However, guess what, they can still do this with the exception of jumping and can run after a ball, play with their pet parents, and other visiting canines. I have written about this before, but each time I do, it gives me the chills thinking and actually seeing what wheelchairs for dogs can help them accomplish, but owning a paralyzed dog is a heartbreaking experience but by providing them their very own dog wheelchair, their lives and yours can and will continue. Be Happy!

If you have never seen a dog in a dog wheelchair that is somewhat paralyzed, had a serious operation involving their legs or hips, or just cannot walk by themselves because of serious health problems, it is a wonderful sight to see. Dogs that have disabilities and need assistance to lead a longer and happier life are so determined to make good of whatever legs they have left to pull themselves along in walking, and would you believe, even running and playing with other dogs, and wading in the water. When dogs begin aging this can become stressful and painful causing deterioration of their body. Years before wheelchairs for dogs were available; the only alternative to relieve the dog’s pain was to put them down.

Now the choice is easy and affordable in giving a dog a better life by still being able to be active and happy with his or her own wheelchair for dogs. Dog wheelchairs offer mobility and comfort and are fully adjustable with no tools required. Wheelchairs for dogs will fit dogs from 20 to 200 pounds and folds flat when not in use, this is also good for traveling with the dog. If the wheelchair has helped the dog to recover from whatever health problem they may have had, it can be resold to other dogs that need help as well in their recovery. Be Happy!

During the aging process of dogs, deterioration may begin to set in causing gradual pain in their hips and joints. Pet parents begin to notice their lack of enthusiasm to play and run, and will realize there is a problem. We all know that getting older things change with our bodies, but the big difference in our canine friends is that they cannot tell us they are in pain. Doing what is important to maintain our dog’s health is what will help them lead a long and happier life.

In severe cases of hip problems, walking becomes unbelievably painful, medication will help some, but suppose your dog has had surgery, and will not be able to walk for some time. Consider wheelchairs for dogs where ‘seniorpetcare products’ will be able to fit your dog properly, and they are wonderful in helping to soothe their pain while recuperating. Back to normal will eventually happen, but just be cautious of their dependency on the dog wheelchair. This is just a temporary way of helping them to heal. Be Happy!

Today there is a choice to help your dog’s mobility to lead a happy and full life and partake in their pet families activities. Perhaps you have a senior dog that has hip problems, weak hind legs, or severe arthritis, the pain that goes with these health problems is indescribable. Your dog cannot tell you how bad they hurt, but if you know your pet, you will notice changes in their moving around. Slower than usual, maybe do not run as before, or any sudden changes will make you aware there is a problem. There may have been a horrible accident that left them paralyzed, or even had to have a leg amputated. However, with technology there is a choice. The pet parent can continue to walk their dogs in the park and sidewalks to get their exercise that they will need. If your dog lies around most of the time they will become depress, and yes, dogs can be miserable just like humans. Have you ever noticed that when your dog does not feel well, they have a look in their eyes that is sorrowful? As long as there is a way of helping your dog to maintain their healthy legs to carry on is extremely important, and dog wheelchairs will be the most humane.

Having some mobility even if at first it is difficult to accept, your handicapped dog will be able to walk, plays, and yes, even run. Dogs can recover very quickly and become use to the idea that this is what allows them to participate in the fun. Watching a dog in a wheelchair is almost unbelievable, it just makes your heart warm. It is not common to see a dog in a wheelchair as it is a human. It is important for your dog to be in physical therapy if that is all that may be required, and then forget about the wheelchair. If they become use to this method, they may become dependent on it and give up trying to walk again. They have great determination and sometimes very stubborn, but when trained well, they always want to please. A watchful eye on your dog is necessary in making decisions on maintaining their other limbs in staying healthy. The wheelchairs are custom made to fit the size of your dog and the disability problem that they have. They are lightweight, fold flat, and designed to fit your dog’s lifestyle. This is probably something that none of us ever want to think about, but there can become a time when we must think about. Be knowledgeable of what this product can do for your dog. One choice – dog wheelchair or …. Be Happy!

Petguardianangel and Petsafetyblog wish all a Happy Easter

I was just thinking the fun we had as children growing up and having Easter egg hunts on Easter Sunday. All the preparations ahead of time dying eggs, coloring them and creating delightful Easter baskets with goodies galore. Please keep in mind that dogs love chocolate, but do not give them any because it can be fatal. You do not want to experience a tragedy that could have been avoided. Give them one of their treats they love instead.

Just because we are not children anymore does not mean that this tradition should stop, and I am quite positive that it is still a celebration that will go on … Happy Easter , and Be Happy!

As we are all aware of, accidents involving cars or diseases that attack our dogs are something that having control over does not always. Pet parents are generally over protective of their furry friends and try their best to keep them safe and healthy. Accidents can cause severe health problems where the only treatment of healing is amputation. Their limbs may have been badly damaged; perhaps one limb or even two is devastating to the pet and their family. Diseases such as cancer may have affected your dog’s body where a limb would require amputation in order to live a normal life. No matter the cause of surgery to perform an amputation, the pet parent will become a caregiver to their dog in helping their mobility. Amputations performed during emergency surgeries will most likely be a first experience with pet families and there will be concerns of being able to exercise their pets. Dogs will recover remarkably well within a few weeks and will learn to adapt in getting around, not as before, but will start to use what limbs they have to run, play, jump …. A watchful eye on your dog is necessary in making decisions on maintaining their other limbs, so as not to damage ligaments in strenuous activities that may weaken their healthy ones. This is important because your dog may tend to overdo and possibly then start to slow down making their exercise more difficult.

There are actually prosthetics for dogs that have lost a limb, but vigilance must be a priority on mobility. Slippery floors are dangerous because of the damage that might affect their other limbs. Throw runs placed on the floors will give them some traction and better movement using their prosthetics. Weight control is important so the healthy limbs can support their weight. Wheelchairs for dogs are another option to consider. Dogs that have severe arthritis and/or hip dysplasia, and are an amputee learn to live a good and happy life with the help of a product that will help them maneuver easier. Participating in family activities is important to you, the pet parent, and to your dog. A dog wheel chair is available, and with the help of an assistant device, allows your dog to lead a life of fun and happiness for a full life. Wheelchairs for dogs are lightweight and fold flat for transporting your dog to activities, as you once did, will still be pleasurable just being together. Humans have been using wheelchairs for a long time, why not your dog. Be Happy!

Dogs are wonderful loving pets to all pet parents by being your companion, buddy, lap dogs, working dogs, service dogs, or just an adorable lover. Whichever type your dog is, is worth all the effort in the world in keeping them safe from harm’s way. Sometime that is not possible, but we all do our best in protecting them. Some of us have had extra small, small, medium, large, extra large, and extra extra large, and some even have had giant dogs for pets. I have been fortunate to have had the pleasure owning almost all of these breeds at one time or another, and they were such good loving dogs dedicated to making my family happy just being around them. It is hard to describe the feeling a pet parent has, but you know the feeling.

It is a sad time when something happens to them. Accidents, chronic diseases, arthritis, hip dysphasia, and other serious health problems, amputees, and all other tragedies to numerous to mention. If you have ever watched a working dog, police dog, search and rescue dog, service dog, or therapy dogs there is absolutely nothing like it. The amazing obedience and dedication of these dog’s and their handler is so awesome, but eventually they all grow old and become handicapped in some way or another. Their hind legs may not move as fast, or may not be able to move at all. Walking becomes difficult, climbing stairs is becoming harder each time, and jumping up on your lap, or whatever your faithful dog has been accustomed to, can no longer function as they once were able and paralysis has sent in. What is the answer? Medication can do so much in relieving pain, but what about the loss of feeling in their legs? We all have seen humans in wheelchairs, but have you ever seen a dog in one? If not, you are in for a big surprise. Absolutely wonderful is all that I can say. There are wheelchairs for dogs that will help their mobility that has been lost and still be able to live a long happy life, enjoying what is around them and know and feel that they can still participate in their family’s activities. Be Happy!

Every time I see a picture or video of a dog in their wheelchair, I just cannot believe what I am seeing. That is just the way it is, seeing disabled dogs running, catching a ball, going into the water at a beach, or just relaxing, gives my heart a happy feeling. Dog wheelchairs enabled dogs to move around differently, but at least they are able to walk and enjoy life. Sometimes, bad things happen to limit the dog’s ability to move their legs. An accident, surgery to remove a leg, illness, disease, or was run over by an automobile, a dog can still live a good and happy life with the help of a product that will help them maneuver their mobility. It would not be like what they were accustomed to before, but something that could allow them to participate in their pet families activities. Years ago, before you ever heard of a dog wheelchair the only alternative was to euthanize them. The development of assistive devices for dogs is wonderful for the dog and their pet parent. Some of the dog wheelchairs are lightweight and will fold flat so taking your dog with you, as you once did, can still be a pleasure. Ordering wheelchairs for a dog may be a first for you, but there are knowledgeable people who will assist you in determining what size, how large… and what type of injury your dog has that requires help in their ability to move about.

Dog wheelchairs benefits dogs with arthritis, and/or hip dysplasia. The wheelchairs will increase their mobility to be able to walk around inside their home, and will allow them to exercise by walking with their pet parents. It is possible that their affliction would become easier to handle with exercise that would otherwise be difficult. Wheelchairs are for large or small dogs, and adjustments made to the pet’s mobility problems. When your dog was young and you purchased pet insurance, there may be a chance that wheelchairs for dogs may be covered with some of the expenses through the policy, be sure and check it out. It is worth a try. Some may even cover physical therapy. As your dog ages, their bodies start to deteriorate. So if you are a pet parent that has a dog with a disability that would be a good candidate for the product, then considering this for your dog would enable them to function better with a dog wheelchair, and continue to live a full life. Be Happy!

A method used for the mobility of sick, injured or handicapped people is a wheelchair that will offer a way of life that would not happen if there were not such a product. There are not only wheelchairs for humans, but wheelchairs for dogs that are becoming popular with the disabilities a dog can encounter. That horrible word ‘euthanize’ does not have to apply to a dog that has lost the use of legs, spinal cord injuries due to accidents, an illness or disease, becomes paralyzed, or is an amputee. Dogs that can manage to walk again, run and play, have a special place in all pet lovers heart of how wonderful technology is today, that offers a way of life, not what they had before, but what they have now. Having some mobility is better than done. Every breed of dog from the Chihuahua to the Giant Mastiff can make use of a dog wheelchair. Dogs have been included in their family’s activities from a puppy to an adult and if they become disabled, serious depression may set in. Yes, dogs do get depressed, just like humans.

The wheelchair for dogs is customized according to the size of your dog, and the wheels are specialized for maneuvering in all types of soil, and are lightweight and easy to handle. Comfort is very important and after a few training sessions, your dog will adjust before you know it. Keep in mind that if physical therapy would be all that is needed, then forget about the dog wheelchairs. Once they become use to using this method, they may become dependent on it and give up trying to ever walk again. They have great determination and sometimes very stubborn, but when trained well, they always want to please. It is becoming popular for dogs using wheelchairs, but this does not mean this is the end of your dog’s life. Helping in their mobility to move around more freely will bond you and your dog even more. It could end your dog’s life if they do not have a dog wheelchair. You do not want to think about the alternative. Never forget that your dog is man’s best friend, and you would do anything to help them when in need. Note: this dog has lost the left front leg, and can still have some mobility to walk. Be Happy!

We all will age; some of us become disabled, and need assistance and will not apply only to humans, but to dogs as well. When thinking about wheelchairs for dogs, there are probably not many pet parents that consider this alternative in realizing there is something out there that will help their pet. Accidents may have happened, and caused paralysis, neurological diseases and sadly enough, amputation. Spinal cord problems or hip dysplasia causes most disabilities in dogs, but a dog wheelchair will help them to regain their mobility and lead healthy lives, that otherwise would not be possible without a wheelchair. It is a very sad moment in learning that your dog has lost mobility in ways that affect their movements, and takes away their freedom where they can no longer walk by themselves. Euthanasia was the only alternative there was back before dog wheelchairs were available. Dogs that have lost them mobility can no longer partake in their pet family’s activities and not being able to do the things they were accustomed to, may become depressed. Having a dog wheelchair will allow the pet parent and their dog, to continue to play and run. They are man’s best friend and loyal to their owner for the rest of their lives.

Customized dog wheelchairs can be a perfect fit for your dogs needs, and provides a maximum amount of comfort and support. There are all sizes for every breed of dog, from the largest to the tiniest. Wheelchairs are designed to support the back or front limbs, but can be more intricate if support is required for all four limbs, and is adaptable to the gender of your dog. A dog wheelchair should be the last resort if physical therapy and rehab have been exhausted. If your veterinarian feels that there may be a chance of recuperation, help your dog to recover as much as possible. If there may be a chance of recovery and you do not try it, putting them into a dog wheelchair may become a dependency that cannot be reversed. Be Happy!
