Homeopathic Dog Treatment

It’s very important to maintain a healthy diet for your dog’s well being .  Homeopathic petbouncebottletreatments are safe and without side effects in treating many illnesses and diseases.   Arthritic conditions can be remedied, cancer, ongoing gastric and intestinal problems, asthma, and joint discomforts can be effective in symptoms of disease or pain by homeopathic treatments.  Pet Bounce, a homeopathic treatment in liquid form, has been mentioned on CNN, Fox35, MSNBC, and USA Today, for treating arthritis, hip problems, and ….  The dog’s immune system can be stimulated by this treatment, and will help lessen the possiblity of the return of an illness or a disease.  The remedies of homeopathic medicine, are products which are gathered in animal or plant origins, and also from different minerals.

I’m sure there has been times that your dog has eaten grass, and polls_dog_eating_grass_4706_443671_poll_xlargethe pet parent does not understand why they do this.  It has been known from past experiences and research that by eating  the grass, settles their stomach from pain, (tummy aches) and after digesting the grass,  will vomit and will feel better.  This is a natural self treatment that dogs have learned from centuries ago, and is a trait that was born into them in taking care of themselves long before a pet parent was ever heard of.  Homeopathic dog meds are found in various forms, and are entirely harmless with the proper dosage required in treating the dog’s health problem.  Homeopathic treatments have no dangerous side effects.   Dogs, just like humans, experience lifestyles that are unhealthy, and sometime unsanitary, with pollution, stress, and poor nutrition.  Just be aware of your dog’s health in controlling ways in keeping them healthy.  Homeopathic treatment is not only for dogs and cats, but humans can benefit from it as well.  Be Happy!

Pet Doors Are a Real Pleasure to Have

Dogs and Cats go in and out all by themselves and never have to bother their pet parents to let them outside, if a pet door is available in their home.  These pet doors are handy for the pet parent and are so useful for the pets.  They get bored at times being left alone in the house, sometime all day by themselves, and have to wait for someone to come home to let them out.  What’s so great about pet doors is that both microchipcatflap-smallcat and dog can make use of the same door without any trouble.  Pet doors for large or small dogs need consideration in choosing the correct size in matching the dog’s height, and width.  Usually, cats will be able to utilize the same door regardless of the size of the dog.  If you only have a cat, these pet doors will usually have a flap which makes accessibility easier, but there are no magnetic, infra-red controlled, or electronic pet doors, which would require an electronic collar.

There are many designs for pet doors that make the choice much easier in deciding where and what kind you want installed.  It is very important in deciding the location to avoid additional pet intruders; this is especially true to deter burglars. Patio and porch doors, french doors, kennel doors, windowand even window doors are available.  The family pets will be so happy and comfortable in knowing that they have the freedom of choice, to go in and out to enjoy fresh air and sunshine.  Be  Happy!

WOW! A Wireless Dog Fence

Monday, December 28, 2009

I personally had a dog fence that was underground and worked great in keeping our dog from running off, or even worse, getting hit by a vehicle traveling up and down on a dead-end road.  Our present back yard is very small, so we just put up a board fence, but if I had more room you can be about1sure an underground dog fence would be installed.  Just a little humor, we took our dog on a trip to visit family and packed his underground dog fence flags used in training, and the collar that goes with it.  When we arrived, I placed the flags out in the back yard, put his collar on, and then let him out of the house, without any connections.  I had no idea if this was going to work in keeping him confined, but believe me; he had just as much respect there as he has in his own yard.  Consider this great product for your dog.

Wireless fences work differently than the underground fence, because there are no underground wires to contend with.  Collars are still worn, but the range1system sends signals from a unit which is either in the home or installed in the garage.  If your dog moves farther than the circular area where you want to contain them, a signal is lost on their collar, and a shock occurs in warning the dog. The cost of building a wooden or wire fence will cost much more than the wireless or the underground fence.   The wireless dog fence can be a bit more difficult if your yard has an abundance of trees and hills, so remember in considering the wireless fence, the containment of keeping your dog inside the area is circular.  Be Happy!

Does Your Dog Need a Wheelchair?

This is probably something that none of us ever want to think about, but 85665-main_fullthere could be a time when we must think about it.  Wheelchairs for dogs has enabled dogs to move around different than they were use to, but at least they could walk and enjoy life.  Sometimes, bad things happen to limit the dog’s ability to move their legs.  An automobile accident where they were hit, or even run over, could still be able to live with the help of a product that would help them maneuver in their mobility.  It would not be  like what they were accustom to before, but something that could allow them to participate in their pet families activities.  A terrible sickness could disable them in a way where it would be necessary for an amputation, or even paralyzes.

Dog wheelchairs have many benefits for dogs with arthritis, and/or hip eddies_nutmegdysplasia. Wheelchairs will increase their mobility in going for walks with their pet parents, moving around inside of the home, which will help them to improve their affliction in healing.  Wheelchairs can be used for large or small dogs, and adjustments are made to the pet’s mobility problems.  When your dog was young and you purchased pet insurance, there may be a chance that wheelchairs for dogs may be covered with some of the expenses through the policy, if needed.  Some may even cover physical therapy.  So if you are a pet parent that has a dog with a disability that would be a good candidate for the product, then considering this  for your dog would enable them to function better with a dog wheelchair, and still continue to live a full life.  Talk to your pet insurance agency and see what might be covered.  Be Happy!

Day After Chistmas for Doggy and Kitty

What a wonderful Christmas for Doggy and I.  If we would have had to spend Christmas with Aunt Petunia. we would have had to wait for our Christmas presents from Santa.  Flying with the pet airlines limits the number of presents, otherwise it would have cost more money.  Santa really came through bringing almost everything that we asked for.  Toys were  of all different shapes, and just about everyone of them made a squeak noise.  Some were big and some were small.  These  were all in our 423658-2tChristmas stockings, but doggy and I were a bit confused.  Most of the toys weren’t on our list, so guess our pet parents wanted to surprise us and make us happy.  We shared Christmas dinner with our pet parents, and had a plate all to ourselves. We had white turkey meat, green beans, slices of apples, some cottage cheese, and a little yogurt without any flavoring.

Our biggest surprise was what Santa left under the tree. Doggy and I love our new pet safety harnesses and lighted dog collars (kitties can use these too, you know), it’s too soon to use the pet carriers, but doggies new life vest is unreal.  It has really bright colors so our pet parents could see doggy better if  by accident, fell into the water.  I wonder if life jackets are made for kitty as well.  Probably not, because being a house kitty does have it advantages.   We don’t like water that much anyway, and what could we have possibly run after, and fell into the water, that’s silly.  Mice don’t like water anyway.  Happy 1014742_450campers we are, and want to thank our pet parents and Santa for being so good to us.  Now, our next adventure will be welcoming in the New Year.  Be Happy!

One More Day Till Christmas for Doggy and Kitty

Oh dear, we can hardly wait for Santa to visit. He must be getting close christmas-dog-catbecause our little hearts are beating happily with excitement. We decided we better stand in front of our fireplace for awhile, and make sure there’s not a fire going, so Santa will be safe. We must remind our pet parents not to forget to put out cookies and milk for Santa. Doggy and Kitty think they did a good job, don’t you? One more thing was added to our Christmas list if Santa can’t bring us a new pet safety harness.  He could surprise us with a new dog kennel. One for doggy, and one for kitty.

We would like to thank everyone who has kept up with the blogs that have been written about us in keeping safe, and will continue to be a good doggy and kitty in entertaining you.

Two More Days Till Christmas, for Doggy and Kitty

Waiting for Santa has been painful, not knowing what our pet parents are giving us for Christmas. Hopefully it will be new pet safety harness to replace christmas_tree_2004our worn out ones. We have tried very hard to be good doggies and kitties and obey our parents in all commands and duties, and in protecting them as well. Doggy has been very careful in moving around the Christmas tree so their tail doesn’t knock down one of those beautiful Christmas ornaments that mean so much to the pet family. Kitty has been very careful as well, and never even attempted to climb up that wonderful big Christmas tree to investigate what is so shiny that could be played with. Kitty is also very proud that this is one time that “curiosity will not kill the cat.”

There is now just two more days to share our extra special love to all who pet002cares for us Doggies and Kitties during this Holiday Season. There is no way in determining the meaning of love between pets and their families. It’s there for the offering to whomever wants to accept this wonderful feeling of love and responsibility. Be Happy!

My Dog Will Fetch, But That’s All

Tuesday, December 22, 2009

There’s a neighbor on our street that plays with her dog on fetching whatever she throws, a stick, play toy of some kind, or a ball. It’s really fun dsc_0215to watch because that little dog brings anything she throws back to her for praise. My dog will fetch, but that’s it. I’ve made the mistake of chasing after him, which is really a no-no, but it’s too late now. He will drop his retrieval on command if I walk up to him, but he won’t bring it back to me. Very irritating, but I shouldn’t complain, because it’s my fault. The pet parent may be into playing fetch, but your doggie may not be. In training to fetch,  throw something, but not too far, and the dog most likely will run after it, but what needs to be done, is to turn around and run away from the dog. Chances are the dog will run toward you with his retrieval and if you really, really praise them, they may drop whatever they have. My dog will get so excited when I move his toy around his body (be careful, your dog’s teeth are very sharp) he will start to run ahead, waiting for me to throw something.

I suppose I never gave it a thought that there was a right way to 200203-main_fullteach them to fetch and return. So don’t make the mistake that I did, and you and your pet will be happy playing together and getting exercise at the same time. Beware of any pet joint pain that may occur if your dog is having arthritic or hip problems. Playing should then be limited to their energy to play. Be Happy!
